Councelling Services
My name is John Whelan, I have been working as a Psychotherapist since 2010 after graduating with an
Honours Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University. I have worked extensively
in the area of Substance misuse, Trauma, Relationship issues and various other areas concerning
wellness and Mental Health.
My Approach
I work exclusively Online as a Person-Centred Trauma Informed Counsellor where the approach is very
much a collaborative one, I work with the client to try and create a safe comfortable environment where
we can address the issues or struggles that are causing distress or discomfort. I also incorporate
elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which look at and challenge unhelpful thinking and
behaviours.
